We may have mentioned on occasion that we like second-hand shopping – markets, charity shops or vintage sales, we love them all. We are also rather partial to a sustainable fashion sale, as it’s a good opportunity to invest in some well-designed ethically produced garments that are made to last. So, when we saw the following in our inbox, were barely able to contain our excitement...
It is all of the things we love rolled into one so we felt it would be rude not to tell you all about it.
On a normal day, Here Today Here Tomorrow (HTHT) is a sustainable fashion boutique, collaborative studio and workshop space with regular classes ranging from knitting and sewing to natural dying techniques. Add to that the ‘jumble’ element and, well...this event just couldn’t be any more perfect for us.
The week-long 'samble' sale will feature new and second-hand garments, homeware and knitwear accessories ranging from £1 to £40, so there is something for every budget. Past season and sale stock from HTHT will feature alongside designers including Antiform, Outsider, Lilia Yipp, Zoe Yarwood and Soko.
The past season, samples, vintage and second-hand items are only available in store from tomorrow until Saturday 7th September, but even if you aren’t based in London, you can still browse and buy HTHT sale items from their website.
It’s great to see independent boutiques trying something a bit different and we think shops that mix ethically produced new products with old, re-purposed, repaired or upcycled items might just be the future of retail.
The HTHT Super Samble Sale will be on from Saturday 31st August to Saturday 7th September at 30a Balls Pond Road, Dalston, London, N1 4AU.
