Black jeans

I have a pair of black jeans that are not so black anymore. They are still in good condition, so it would be a shame to get rid of them, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of an environmentally friendly dye that will restore my jeans to their original colour (or close to)?

I don't know of a dye I'm afraid, but if anyone else has a newish pair of black jeans then adding sea salt when you wash them will preserve their colour.
