Hi,
My new years resolution is to source all my clothes and shoes from charity, vintage and sustainable sources.
However easier said than done as i can't seem to find any local charity shops near to my office (was looking forward to lunchtime foraging trips).
Does anyone know of any chairty shops near London Bridge? (as i failed to find any on google)
Yes, this is a tricky one. I
Yes, this is a tricky one. I can't say I know any charity shops close by.
If you have time to jump on the tube to Waterloo there is a charity shop on Lower Marsh as well as two great vintage shops, Radio Days and What the Butler Wore.
Otherwise, on Bermondsey Street you have a few options for vintage or sustainable. For vintage, handmade or ethically produced try Bermondsey Fayre www.bermondseyfayre.com.
Or for beautiful bespoke garments that are made to last visit the studio of designer Susie Stone www.susiestone.com. Obviously bespoke prices will be significantly higher than charity shop but she currently has a sale of up to 60% off so now is the time to go!
Another more purse friendy option would be to arrange a clothes swap at work, assuming of course you have enough colleagues whose clothes you covet.
I will keep digging and let you know here what we come up with.
Stay true to your shelf!
If you can make it as far as
If you can make it as far as Walworth Road, just south of Elephant and Castle there are five or six charity shops, worth browsing around.
