Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere I can get large, metal eyelets stamped into the top of my recently handmade curtains? I didn't realise, when I was making them, that trying to find large, approx 6-7cm diameter metal eyelets on which to hang my curtains from a pole, would be impossible to find! I've been told I will have to have them done for me, on a professional,dedicated eyelet-making machine. Trouble is, I've no idea where to find such a service? Anyone out there know where I can get it done in London?

Have you tried contacting a local curtain maker? Although they usually make the whole curtain, they should have the machinery to do the job and maybe they will be nice enough just to insert the eyelets for you. If not, they may well be able to suggest someone who can help you.

DM Buttons who are in Soho (and brilliant!) put eyelets in up to 40mms. Ring first to ask about the best way to mark up the curtains, and drop off in person or mail to him. Hours are worth checking, prices very reasonable and turn-around quick.

BTW - I have the Dunhelm Mill DIY eyelets, they are hopeless! They are a singly plastic eyelet that you are supposed to push through a hole and they are supposed to miraculously stay in place. They simply do not work!
